Presenter Details

  • Name: Mother Falcon Music Lab
  • The Mother Falcon Music Lab is a summer music program for players of symphonic instruments as well as standard rock band instruments, established by Austin band Mother Falcon to enable curious musicians aged 11- 18 to play music off the page. Campers are encouraged to step out of their comfort zones to discover their own musical voice, while also learning valuable skills of collaboration. Placed into multi-instrumental bands, they must learn to listen to their instincts and to one another in order to write an original piece of music. Each band performs at the Saturday Showcase, an exciting event hosted at a live music venue. Around this core experience, campers have a tightly organized schedule of classes, including a hands-on, DIY merchandizing course and workshops offered in a variety of disciplines.
