We've been having a blast creating a wonderful group of short, interactive lessons on sound, creativity, and the imagination over the past couple of months on KMFA's Sound Ideas.

The series, which wrapped its inaugural season, featured Austin favorites Liz Cass, Ryan Heller & Carlos Cordero, Steve Parker, Invoke, Graham Reynolds, Dana Wygmans, and Keith Womer teaching on a wide range of topics including how to make music with common household objects, how to create a good bass line, and how a harpsichord makes music.

"We are so grateful to all of the volunteers from Austin's vibrant creative community who stepped up to participate in the program," said Carla McElhaney, KMFA's Director of Creative Learning. "Each episode has been a labor of love by everyone involved."

The program will go on a brief hiatus for the summer, but don't fear, each of the seven original episodes are still available by clicking on any of the links below. All lessons are TEKS aligned, allowing for integration into the Texas K-12 Fine Arts and STEAM curriculum.

Stay tuned to KMFA for news about exciting changes and a fresh new line up of programs when Sound Ideas returns in the coming weeks.
