About Rockport:

Rockport & Fulton are located along the Texas Trapical Trail and are a significant stop along the Great Texas Coastal Birding Trail. Noted as an artists' colony, the twin communities are nestled among the wind swept oaks of the Live Oak Peninsula and are home to over 20,000 acres of wild wetlands and secluded bays. Rockport is home to Texas' first Blue Wave Beach and the sparkling waters of the Gulf of Mexico are just minutes away.

Rockport Beach was voted #1 in the state of Texas by USA Today readers. Two beachfront indoor climate-controlled pavilions for special events, covered picnic cabanas, beach playground areas, four public boat launches, a fish cleaning stand, a bathhouse, walking trail, 800' fishing pier, and plenty of boating and fishing space make Rockport the perfect vacation getaway in Texas!

  • Name: Rockport Film Festival
  • The goal of the Rockport Film Festival is to enrich an audience already supportive of the arts by providing a window onto the world of independent cinema, and to encourage cultural tourism and economic impact by providing new and innovative event programming for our area. Being a community known for its mix of art and environment, the hope is the Rockport Film Festival will reach audiences local, regional and statewide during what is typically an off-season for tourism in our community. These experiences—exposure to one-of-a-kind film programming, interaction and dialogue with filmmakers, and connecting the unique position of Rockport to the diverse world of filmmaking—have created a hidden gem that is poised to expand significantly with continued support.
