A MUSICAL FEAST CONCERT SERIES PRESENTS PIANIST AARON KURZ ON SUNDAY, APRIL 13TH, 5:00 P.M. IN THE NAVE
Don’t miss this exciting program featuring selections by Debussy, Barber and early 20th-century composers! A student of Anton Nel, Aaron Kurz is currently pursuing a DMA at the University of Texas, and has just completed an Asian concert tour.
Want a sample? Here’s Scriabin’s Sonata No. 5 in F#, Opus 53: https://youtu.be/aXVEM9r_4KQ?si=Mk5N9VD4QJeRsKPp
The concert is free, although donations for the artist ($10 suggested, or whatever amount you’re able to give) will be gratefully accepted at the door. Seating is first-available; the church’s red doors open at 4:40 p.m. We encourage the audience to gather around the piano, and those wanting a view from above are welcome to sit behind our performer in the choir stall.
Aaron will speak about each selection on his program, and there will be an opportunity to interact with him after the concert as well.
Plenty of free parking is available on site at 1420 E. Palm Valley Blvd., Round Rock (78664). St. Richard’s is all on one level and comfortably accessible for those who are mobility-challenged. For questions, please contact Sara Burden-McClure, sara@saintrichards.org.

Presenter Details
- Name: A Musical Feast Concert Series
A Musical Feast Concert Series has been in existence since 1997 as a monthly second-Sunday event, moving to different host churches as situations warrant and currently hosted by St. Richard’s Episcopal Church in Round Rock. The series began as an effort to give musicians a good acoustic space in which to perform for people who wanted to listen to (rather than talk over) them, and to provide a pleasant opportunity for music lovers who couldn’t afford concert or club venues to enjoy good music and give what they could in support. No proselytization allowed, just a good concert every month with eclectic variation of genres. The host organization provides the space, printed program, core audience, light reception and promotion. Artists receive all donations, hopefully increase their fan base, and enjoy the opportunity to record in a conducive environment if they wish. It’s a true community event, bringing together a diverse collection of people to support local musicians.
