Tony Morris is the Executive Director of Classical Guitar Alive, a nonprofit organization that reaches the world with its innovative projects, including 1) the Classical Guitar Alive! public radio program, which has been nationally broadcast continuously since 1997 and airs each week on over 250 stations in the USA and internationally, and has listeners world-wide via its podcast and internet live streams. 2) Its Music in Medicine community outreach program has presented hundreds of classical music performances at no cost to audiences in Central Texas hospitals and hospices. 3) The television program American Classic for PBS stations, which combines elements of a tour of  beautiful historic homes with an intimate house concert, and is produced in association with KLRN, PBS San Antonio.

He served as guitar professor at Texas Lutheran University from 2006-2011. He has performed three times at the White House in Washington, DC and at the Texas Governor's Mansion. In 2010, he was chosen by the US State Department to serve as a Cultural Envoy to Paraguay in recognition of his work and research promoting the the life and work of Paraguayan guitar-composer Agustin Barrios Mangoré (1885-1944). His blog about the experience resulted in a commission to write an original screenplay based on the life of Barrios.
