ATX ARTISTS FOR SOCIAL IMPACT PRESENTS
EMBODIED:
CELEBRATING 55 YEARS OF ATX PRIDE
JUNE 27 | 6 P.M. - 9 P.M. | KMFA CLASSICAL 89.5
ATX Artists Art Gallery Exhibition, Live Music, Dance Performance, and Short Film Premiere for Pride Month.
On June 27th at KMFA, come celebrate the 55th anniversary of Austin's first Pride March and the 50th anniversary of Austin’s first Pride Week (June 20–26, 1976) at our next flagship production—Embodied: A Celebration of Pride. The City of Austin will be officially recognizing Pride Arts & Heritage Week with a mayoral proclamation, with Austin Pride and Equality Texas as endorsing partners!
This interdisciplinary and multicultural production highlights Austin-based professional BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ visual artists, musicians, and dancers. The evening opens with a community resource fair and visual art gallery exhibition featuring Austin-based BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ visual artists, followed by live performances spanning classical, jazz, ballet, Indian Classical, tap dancing, contemporary, Filipino, and West African musical and movement traditions.
The performance culminates in the world premiere of All This Flesh, an original dance short film conceived by Artistic Director Caitlin Elledge, produced by ATX Artists for Social Impact, and performed by Capital Contemporary Ballet.
VIP Section and Cocktails sponsored by Modern Bar ATX!
Both performance timeslots are identical in content.
Note: Often when we think of Pride, we think of beautiful costumes and extravagant parades. Embodied invites our community to interpret Pride through a different lens—through intersectional cultural heritage, personal reflection, lived experience, and artistic expression.
Dress Code: Embody what Pride means to you. Wear what makes you feel your most confident.
Content Warning: Embodied contains themes of sexuality, mental health, and disordered eating. Age requirement is 18+.
Parking is very limited. Please use rideshare if possible.
This project is made possible in part by the City of Austin's Division of Arts, Culture, Music, and Entertainment and the Elevate Grant.

We are a grassroots collective of Austin-based performing artists, primarily musicians and dancers, united by the belief that everyone deserves access to food, water, housing, and healthcare to survive—and art, education, community, and opportunity to thrive.
Our work reflects the stories and experiences of marginalized communities and amplifies voices that are often unheard.
We believe in the power of art to foster belonging and uplift our most vulnerable neighbors.
