AUSTIN YOUNG SHAKESPEARE PRESENTS

RICHARD III

June 20-30 at 8:00 p.m. | The Curtain Theatre

Mark your calendar for the amazing Tragedy of Richard III: containing, his treacherous plots against his brother Clarence; the pitiful murder of his innocent nephews; his tyrannical usurpation; with the whole course of his detested life, and most deserved death. This production adds a dash of irony and humor.

A month-long rehearsal period culminates in a student-performed, professionally-staged production at The Curtain Theatre, Austin's own Elizabethan replica theater space. The program is now in its 16th year. Students receive in-depth training in acting, movement, diction and stage combat before presenting 8 public performances.

Costumes by Cecelia Gay, sets and lighting by Patrick W. Anthony, sound by Kellie Baldwin. Co-directed by Ann Ciccolella and Cynthia Florez.
